Against battle, darkness, and the weight of night, the answer is not gritted resolve but rest: Jesus fights for us and has already won. Fear loses its grip because the outcome is settled.
Who Jesus is holds the whole record together — the first and the last with no equal, the Great I Am, the Author of life, the Ancient of Days. Worship here is rooted in His nature, not our feeling.

Victory is won a particular way — by a life laid down. The resurrected Son and the Lamb who has conquered are the ground for every claim of triumph the record makes.
This is a congregation's record. It asks God to rain down awakening and then answers — rising up as people of His word, lifting hands in surrender, lifting up praise. The 'we' is the point.
